Just a note to let you know we will be shooting you're 6mm bullets exclusively in 2012. I had a couple boxes of another major manufacture and was driven nuts with the inconstant measurements so they went out. After measuring you're bullets I feel the time to measure them was wasted. You're bullets were dead on.Also let me know how the 6.5 bullets are coming.
Thanks John Hoover"
"Hey Don, Look at this web page and see who's name is on the target. We sent them the rifle specs and the bullet manufacturer (you) but they didn't post that email. Hopefully, the readers of this sight will catch your name on the pics and may send you some business. Good luck house hunting, Merry Christmas,"

Hello Don, just a quick update. I have had excellent results with the 95 grain HVLD's I purchased from you. This picture is a typical +/- 1/4 moa group at 100 yds. on the second day of load development. I have shot a wild boar and a medium 110 pound doe around 175 yards and it is amazing how the energy is transferred immediately and the animals literally drop instantly. I was thinking about sending you some pics of the damage but they are not pretty ( lots of internal damage). I also included a picture of the rifle I have been using. I hope you are settled in your new place and you are doing well. Luis Oliver Crystal River, FL
ps. I will be needing more pretty soon!!
"Hey Don, Just got back from our trip to Wyoming for antelope. I took my new 6x47 Lapua out, loaded with your 95 gr flat base bullets. We had really crappy weather, rain and wind, which made getting around and finding antelope tough. We spotted a band of goats about 800 yards from the road and thought there was a buck in the group so I took the two boys on a stalk up over the hill. Turns out there wasn’t a buck, so I decided to shoot a doe. They spooked and started to go away from us, stopping to cross a fence about 350 yards out. I hit one with the rangefinder, dialed in some elevation and picked a big one out. The wind was probably blowing 25-30 mph right to left, and the doe was facing left. I aimed just on the front of her rear ham and let one loose. Dropped her like a ton of bricks, but she got up. I worked the bolt and did the same thing, putting her down for the count. When we got up there, I had 2 shots about 3” apart at the base of the neck/body junction. The wind drifted the bullets about 24 inches!!! Bullet performance was excellent. Both shots exited with golf ball sized exit holes. Meat damage was minimal. A little later, our boys doubled up on two really great bucks for the area. My boy is on the right (pic attached) his was 15”. My buddy and his boy are on the left with his goat that was 14”. They were shot with a 7-30 waters at 100 yards and my boy’s with a 243 at about 300. He used the 6x47 to put a finisher in the neck at about 200…again, the accuracy and ability to place the bullet exactly where you want it was exceptional. The next day was really rainy but not as windy. My buddy used my 6x47 and dumped a doe at 200 yards with your bullets. First shot was broadside and produced massive destruction to the heart/lungs, and exited with a golf ball sized hole. She ran about 20 yards and stopped, quartering to us slightly and he put another in her. This one angled back through the guts and REALLY made a mess of things inside, but it exited too. Your bullets really held together nicely, and despite the massive internal damage, really didn’t ruin a lot of meat in the process. I’d like to see what would happen if they were shot right through the shoulder bone, to see if it would hold together and plow through, or blow up on impact. But the dang things are so accurate that bullet placement in the vitals, and avoiding hard bone is easy. ;-) Antelope aren’t tough animals, and are pretty easy to kill, but I think this was a pretty good testament to both the accuracy and effectiveness of your bullets. I’ll definitely be trying them again on our whitetails here in PA."

"Hi Don, Thanks for the fast response. I made a special trip to N.C. this week to help Dad test out the bullets you sent him in June. To our surprise, the 74 grain BT's shot the best. I know that you wanted to send Dad a box of the ones that shot best, but because they shot so well, I want to buy him an additional box. We got a single ragged hole with the bullets seating 2 thousandths into the rifling. The group I shot today is the smallest I have ever shot! How do measure the group when it is just one over-sized hole? This is a problem I want ( an will ) have more often with your bullets! This is REALLY cool! Attached is a photo of the target we shot yesterday. I measured across the hole and then subtracted the dia. of the bullet and got .129 " for a group! WOW am I happy! You should see the big cheesy grin on Dad's face! He wants to put the target in a frame and hang it in the living room ( good luck getting that past Mom!) "

"Don
I requested a sample of your 108 VLD bullets when you first started offering them. Well, they arrived and got lost on my work bench. Sometime later, I had a new custom 6mm barrel with custom dimensions installed and was rummaging around on my shop bench...There the sample packet of bullets were. So I loaded the bullets in 6BR, WITH NO LOAD DEVELOPMENT, and went to the range to test the new barrel with 5 different bullets loaded to test. All the bullets shot well but when I shot your 108 VLD I was astounded!! At 600 yds, I shot x after x after x!! I finished with about 14 or 15 x's out of the 20 shots.I was impressed to say the least.
When you are settled into your new home, please contact me as I would like to place an order for your 108 TVLD bullets.
Thanks Roy Cole"
OK, so it's not a paper target, and I used my .45ACP reloads, not my 6mm bullets, but this is my website and I can enter whatever pictures I what to. This Mojave Green Rattlesnake (30 times more venomous than the Western Diamondback Rattler) was loitering right next to my house and I didn't think he should be that close. My first shot took his head off, but since I had six more rounds loaded and he seemed to be a good moving target, I put the extra six into him as well. I sort of messed him up...Bughole

"Hey Don, I shot today with a friend of mine, Dean Daniels. Conditions were not bad.He kicked my butt with my own gun!!!! I think I've got it pretty well dialed in. Your 68grFB bullets are just awesome. I'll send you pics from today's shoot. He had a .174 and and a .166 five rounds at 100 yds. The guys at my club can not believe what a difference your bullets have made in our shooting. Thanks so much." Rick Rannacher Greenville, RI
Sometimes ya just gotta be nice to people... "DON... HI, MY DAD, JAMES MANN, JUST FINISHED HIS OLD STOCK OF 6MM 70 GR. DETSCH BOAT TAILS HE BOUGHT BACK IN THE '70'S. I WANT TO GIVE HIM SOME OPTIONS FOR A REPLACEMENT THAT WOULD SHOOT EVEN TIGHTER GROUPS FOR HIS BIRTHDAY. I WAS THINKING OF YOUR 68 GR.BT. AND THEN THOUGHT HE MIGHT LIKE A "SAMPLE" OF DIFFERENT ONES TO TRY. HE HAS A P.J. HART 6 X 47 WITH A 14 TWIST AND THE 600 ACTION. HE USES EITHER 23.7G OF 4198 OR 27G OF 335 WITH REM. 7 1/2 PRIMERS AND TYP GETS GROUPS OF 1/2" TO 3/8". NOT TOO BAD, HE JUST TURNED 80! ANYTHING YOU CAN OFFER WOULD BE GREAT! THANK YOU VERY MUCH,"
KEN MANN GRAFTON,OH
Ken... Thanks for the inquiry. Sure I'll get your Dad some good bullets to shoot. I don't make a 70gr. Maybe I should, but there are several 70s already. I do make a 74gr BT that would be good, and a 66gr BT as well, but I actually believe you nailed it with my 68gr BT. I have had numerous long-time bench rest shooters that have used other pills and tried my 68gr BT and they say they'll stay with them. It all sort of depends on the harmonics caused by the internal ballistics as to what tunes up the best. Clarence Detsch would have made those 70s and he has passed on. His son Dave is my die maker. Every one of my designs are capable of shooting sub 1/4 MOA once tuned. Your Dad's barrel may have a little too much wear for groups that tight, but hopefully something I send will do the trick. I'll send you 25 each of my 66s, 68s and 74s complimentary. See which works best and let me know. I will make your Dad 100 of whichever works best as his birthday present from me.
Don Lahr
"Don... I talked to my dad on Father's Day and he blew me away when he told me he sent you an e-mail. That was the first one of his life! He was REALLY happy and impressed with the bullets you sent him. I can not tell you how much that means to Mom and me. He is truly acting like a kid again. Mom is making him wait until the weather cools off a bit before he does any reloading his reloading area is in the garage (no basements in his area). I will keep you updated as to his progress on the different loads. Have a great day,"
Ken Mann Grafton, OH
"Dear Mr. Lahr: I received the bench-rest bullets today (Friday-June 17th) and my profound thanks. You are so kind, generous and thoughtful and I appreciate your generosity. I will do my best to put them in one hole. Thank you again."
James Mann Whispering Pines, NC
James... Happy Birthday! I just figured anyone with your experience in the saddle ought not to have to pay for bullets. Let me know which one works best for you and I'll send 100 of those to you complimentary. It is possible they will all go through the same darned hole, then decisions, decisions... Don Lahr
Hi Don, "I am sorry it has taken a little while to get back to you. The 108 Hunting VLD's are great. I realize its a local shoot, but I won production class with my Savage LRPV 6BR Saturday using the 108's. 3 strings of 5 shots at 1000 yards, groups grew some through the day, but the wind was rising and the temp went from low 70's to 92 during the day. Included a couple of pics. Good groups, good score. Thanks! I will be placing another order soon. On another note, I occasionally shoot 100 and 200 yard benchrest, I was thinking of trying one of your flat based bullets, maybe even for groups out to 300. Any thoughts or recommendations? Thanks" Alan Stilwell
"Hey Don, I started working up loads with the 68 Gr FB bullets. I have to tell you it was well worth the wait!!! As I told you, I have shot many different bullets setting up my 40XBR with moderate sucess. To get 2s and 3s with some consistancy was O.K. but I was hoping for a bit better. I shot some groups in the 1s with your 66 FB, and was quite impressed. Well, today you blew me away!! I shot a five round group with the 68 FB that measured .028. I knew the gun might be able to do it, and now I know it can. I can't thank you enough for all of your input and for, in my opinion, making the most accurate bullets I have ever seen. I'm sure if I were a competetive shooter my opinion might carry more weight. But I still try to take accuracy to the extreme be it with my bow, muzzle loader or target shooting. Again, thank you for helping me become a better shooter." Rick Rannacher Greenville, RI
Don, "Here's a pic (albeit a crappy cell pic) of the group I shot last night with my 6x47. Not bad at all! Thank you again! I'll let you know how I make out bustin' balloons Saturday." Charlie Sterner Gettysburg, PA "Hello Don Lahr, it was nice that you took my phone call yesterday and helped me with answers to my questions about your bullets, and making bullets that will shoot accurately. After reading and viewing your web site, I can say with certainty that you are, as far as I am concerned, THE MAN for making phenomenal bullets! Your attention to detail, your compulsion to perfection, is without question the reason your bullets not only look great but shoot great too! I am surely amazed by all those small targets sent in from other shooters. I can say that when I shot in the Super Shoot in the 90's, that the majority of the bullets available then could not hold a candle to yours. So Mr. Lahr, please take a bow knowing that you have reached a milestone in production that very, very few other bullet makers have been able to achieved, that is one hole bullets! I think you should advertise them as such...........ONE HOLE BULLETS............
Best to you and your company!"

"Don, I enjoyed talking to you. Here are the stats on my win with your bullets: 3/26/11 Tomball, Texas Gulf Coast unlimited 100 yards, 5 X 10 shot groups. ag. 0.2686", first place out of 27 entered. Use it on your web site." Tim Oltersdorf Fort Worth,TX
Tim... I mailed your second thousand yesterday and your Delivery Confirmation for those is nnnnnnn. Thanks! Your other 2000 are coming shortly after I get more jackets! "Hey Don, The weather finally broke up here and I made it to my range. Set rounds .010 in with 28gr H322. Had some mirage with wind 5 to 10 , not the best conditions but I couldn't stand it I had to throw some rounds down range, Was a bit shakey first 5 rounds but I shot in the 3's I was very impressed. Once I settled down I shot the group on the bottom in the 2's. I knew the third group was on it's way to being in the 1's after 4 shots and got so excited I threw the high flyer . I choked so bad I needed O2!!! I am very pleased with your bullets and will try the boattails soon. This is one target first time out and I hope to send you some better ones after I play around a little bit more. My 40XBR has never shot this well before and I greatly appreciate the input you gave me. Thanks Much," Rick Rannacher Greenville, RI
"Hey Don, Less wind,a little less mirage and lots of confidence in your bullets!!! I shot this group (.168) today. Clean, cold barrel, one fouling round. Shot 5 rounds cleaned and put the rifle back in the case. The gun can give me what I hoped to shoot out of it. I don't shoot competition. There are not many bench shooters around here. A friend of mine got me into this and we shoot together for fun. When he saw my groups he was VERY interested in your bullets. I'm going to give N133 a try. Never had any consistency with it before but I'm hoping with you rounds I can tighten up even more. I'll be placing another order with you as soon as my buddy shoots some of MY bullets. Thank's Again for your advice." Rick Rannacher Greenville, RI
"Hi Don,
I tried the 105HVLD's you sent last evening and one load was great.
30.0 Varget 105HVLD touching lands .360 3shot group @ 300yds
Didn't check velocity but that doesn't matter the way they shot. I'll see how they do at 300yd varmint shoot on Sat. The points on these bullets look perfect.
Thanks,"

"Hi Don, Hope all is well with you. You may remember a while back I ordered some bullets to test in preparation for some 600 yard group shooting. I was finally able to work up loads for the 80 grain BT. The 80 grain BT bullet is shooting mid ones at a hundred yards. First part of June, we'll be trying the load at 600. Thought you might like to see a target, and again, I wish you continued success. For your reference, the target grid squares are a quarter inch. You are the one-stop shop for 6mm bullets." Mike Hennessey Lake George, Colorado
Don, "My shooting is mostly prairie dogs, and here is how your bullets performed on them. First, the PD's don't die violent deaths. They go like stiff little soldiers, or bowling pins, and just fall over! Inspection reveals a super-clean little hole. No surprise here. The main issue is accuracy. I normally use 65 grn. V-maxes. They are accurate and explosive. At least I thought they were accurate. Your bullet absolutely amazed me at the accuracy at longer distances. The bullets went EXACTLY where I placed the cross-hairs of the scope. I can usually see impact through the scope, and at 200 yards or more, your bullets were right in there. The V-max is acceptable at minute-of-pd, but yours were laser-like!"
Bill Oviatt Lander, WY
"Don:
Just got the samples of your 105 and 108 gr VLD 6mm bullets today. They look very good. I weighed them all on my Pharmaceutical Scale from Denver Instruments, which is capable of + or - .02 grain accuracy, and they were quite uniform, with a standard deviation of the 108's at 0.0568.
This was a little better than a similar sample of Berger 108's that I also checked.
I would like to order 500 of the 108 gr bullets." Neil Adams Billings, MT
"Don,
I sent a couple pictures for you to look at. A picture of my rifle , 6mm BR, and a couple targets. The targets are 5 shot groups at 100 and 200. I know it's not 600 yards but it gives you some idea of what the rifle can do.

Randy Koop Plymouth, MN "Don, Got out to do some early testing with the 80 grain pills. I hit on a load with the third charge weight that gave me low .2's. Adjusted seating depth to .011 jam and got several mid to high .1's. That's awesome for this rifle. I'm extremely pleased with your bullets, and your attention to detail...up to and including the packaging. Keep up the great work, and I wish you well. You make a great bullet."
Mike Hennessey Lake George, CO
"Don, Just wanted to give you a quick report since your bullets are now being used, and I must say it looks very promising! I am still playing a bit with seating dept, so far 5/1000 into the lands has worked the best for me. Tried 15/1000 into the lands but that was no good, 10/1000 was just OK. For me it seems like just into the lands is the best with my current Lilja barrel and your 66 FB. Picture attached is best 5 shots today, around 3 millimeters or 0.120" (a bit shaded but had to use my mobile phone). Just for tuning that is promising for me."

"To Don Lahr at Precision Ballistics June 18, 2009
Don, I just finished a pretty good “wringing out” of your 66 grain 6mm bullets, and thought I would pass along the info to you. My 6 PPC bench rifle is on its second barrel and I’ve tried bullets from Berger, Gentner, Sierra, Hornady, and Bart’s. For the last couple of years I have shot mostly Bart’s and on a good “trigger pulling contest day”, Paper Tiger (the name I’ve given to my rifle) will shoot into the mid 1’s. It’s a Kelbly made Kodiak action, Kreiger barrel, Kelbly trigger , a March 40X scope and one of my Mahogany stocks. So, on June 12th, God gave us a “trigger pulling contest day”, you know, NO wind and NO mirage and overcast, and I took advantage of it. Three groups (all of these are 3 shot groups) with Bart”s Ultra 66 grainers at .113. .184, and .161 for a .1526” average. Not too bad! Then your Precision Ballistics 66 grainers, 6 groups at .122, .160, .162, .151, .106, and .058 for a .1265” average. Even better.
My next test came on June 17th, with conditions the exact opposite. . . crosswinds at 10-15 mph. I watched the flags carefully and managed to shoot 2 groups with the Bart’s at .262 and .164, average of .213”. Your bullets posted four groups at .212, .307, .162, .127 for an average of .202”. That’s when I called and ordered 2000 of your 66 grainers. Thanks for making a good bullet."

"Don, I have been testing your 80 grain Boat Tails the past two days. I just thought you might be interested in some of the results. On Tuesday in my 6mmTOAD, 1:12" twist, 28" barrel, Hall S action (having almost 2000 rounds on it already), I shot a 5 shot group of .257" at 100 yards and a 3 shot string at 365 yards of .600". and on Wednesday a 3 shot group of 1.5" at 492 yards. This bullet consistently averages 3606 fps with 8 fps MD (mean deviation) with 46.0 gr. H-414 in five shot groups from my 1:12" twist 6 TOAD, Hall S. FYI, my calculations for BC of this 80 gr. BT bullet, from field testing at 4 different yardages (100, 246, 365, & 492) results a .330 BC. The adjusted BC for the non standard atmospheric conditions during the tests result actual BC going up to .395. I derive this from the ballistics calculator program which I use for all of my projections and settings. I can't swear that it is correct, but it sure looks like it. I have been doing this testing in preparation for the VHA Jamboree match next month. Have decided to shoot this bullet in this gun in one of my custom class entries. It is an incredible performer in the 6TOAD, 12" twist!" Dave Todd Zionsville, IN
“Don, I sent you an e-mail a couple of weeks ago about my problem of getting your 80gr. bullets to group well in my 12 twist 6br. You suggested I try different seating depths, and powder charges. I seated into lands, and off lands(two different for each). I varied n-135 from 30.0-31.5gr. at different seating depths. I have now shot 71 of the bullets and still have had nothing that groups very well. I'm wondering if I should try some of your 74gr.BT bullets instead of the 80s. what do you think? I still have a full box(100) of your 80s, and 29 in the first box. I will send them back to you, in exchange for the 74gr.BT if you think they might be a better choice for me. Also, I purchased them at the Super Shoot and I think they were discounted in pricing from your norm. Please let me know what you think."
Terry Beaver Newark, Ohio
Terry... Sure, I'll gladly swap you a box of 74gr BT for the box of 80gr BT. Just keep the others for foulers or give them to someone else. I have several guys who swear by them in their 12 twists so they probably just don't like something about your barrel...they do that sometimes. The report on the 74s is that they are "spot on" so hopefully they will make just the correct internal harmonics for your barrel. I do not have your shipping address so pass that along and I will just send them right out. Tomorrow unless they are closed for the holiday. You pay shipping on your end, I'll pay shipping on my end and the bullets will just play switcheroo without any money changing. If your gun still doesn't like the 74s and you want your money back that's OK too. Some rifles just like a certain bullet and no others, and I understand that perfectly. For me, it's more about you finding a good match than it is about the money. Don Lahr http://PrecisionBallisticsLLC.com
Hi Don, It's Terry Beaver sending you a quick note to let you know that my first outing with the 74gr. BT bullets you sent me worked very well. I loaded four different loads using Varget powder at the following. 1) 30.5gr. 2)31.5gr. 3)32.5gr. 4)33.3gr. The groups got better as I increased the charges, until the 33.3gr. load shot one hole at 100yds. I then took it to the 200yrd. range and shot a three shot group under .50". I THINK MY RIFLE LOVES YOUR 74GR. BT BULLETS, AND VARGET POWDER. THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.” Terry Beaver Newark, Ohio
"Don,
At my last match, the Swedish National Championship, your bullets performed very well. I have attached one of by record targets from the Swedish National Championship, measuring 3.62 mm (around 0.140'') which was the second best group in HV100 that day." Roy Arnie Syversrud Norway
On Friday, following the 2009 VHA Jamboree at Pierre, SD, the IBS State Championships were held. My friend, Dave Todd, on the left, shot this great 1.739" group with my 80gr boat tails from his 6Toad at 600 yards. Proof that 105gr pills are not required to do the job at 600 yards. Dave is a phenomenal shooter, and a Heck of a nice guy! --- Don "Don, Attached is an annotated photo of that target I shot at 600 yards with your light 80 gr. I just returned from the World Championship Long Range Groundhog Match held in Sidman, PA September 26th and 27th. While there, Thad Gibbons brought over some of his recent targets shot at 100 yds, 300 yds and 500 yds, which document this winning shooter's abilities. Here is a picture of Thad and I at Southfork Rifle Club for the World Championship and a nice close-up of his 300 yard target he shot with my Precision Ballistics 68gr FB bullets. Congratulations Thad! Thad shot this at 300 yards!
Above are a couple of targets my friend, John Maxon shot with my 66.7gr FB bullets. The top target was a .101" and the bottom one a .132". Those Paper Tiger guys can really shoot!
"Don,
Shot this morning at the Elwood Conservation Club. Not sure how good the picture is. The 5 shot group @ 100 yards measured an honest .132". I had given my friend, Jay Fruth, from our club in Wabash, IN, some of my 68gr FB bullets to try. He loaded some up to try them in his 6PPC, which he'd pretty well shot out, and proceeded to shoot a 0.184" group (left) and a 0.121" group (right) at 100 yards. Jay seemed pretty pleased and gave me his targets to post.
"Hi Don, I just had news from Jean Pierre Troin, who shot a varmint match for score last week end (first time for him) in difficult winds. He won clearly above the best local specialist using your 66gr BTs. At 100m he scored 500/500 with18Xs. At 200m he scored 499/500 with 8Xs. He took 1st at both 100m and 200m, and 1st at the aggregate. We have now to test them for groups, but they seem to have a very good potential. Thank you again.
Kind regards," Pascal Fischbach France
I received a note and two targets from Ken Winpisinger, who had tried my 88gr FB bullets. He shot these two 3/4" groups through wind, mirage with no wind flags. Nice groups for 200 yards!
“Don, Here are two groups I shot with your 88gr flat base bullets at 200 yards. The conditions were not great, a little wind and a fair amount of mirage. I didn't have my wind flags up either. This is a big improvement over what I've been shooting. I will call you to order more bullets.”
Ken Winpisinger Parsons, WV
Please note the two targets on the left were shot at 200 yards, 7 shots grouped at 0.387" and 8 shots grouped at 0.409". The target on the right was a 5 shot group at 500 yards that was 1.009"! Looks to me like the groundhogs around West Virginia are in big trouble with Ken shooting my 88gr bullets! "Don, I have some more targets for you. Your bullets are very, very good. Much better than my old load. I tested some of the boat tails, they work just as well as the flat base bullets. On the white target (on the left), two shots went a little high. I started to get some vertical mirage. Still seven shots under a 1/2" on one target, and 8 shots under 1/2" on the other." Ken Winpisinger Parsons, WV
"Hey Don, I had the opportunity yesterday to test the 74gr BT on a coyote. I was more than pleased with the outcome. Despite a few fragments that came through, the bullet came apart inside the coyote. No exit wound to speak of. I shot the coyote at 180 yards and it dropped like a brick. I do want to shoot another, but shoot it on the shoulder where there is some bone to contend with. In past experience with shoulder hits, there is bullet splashing and the coyote gets away. We are planning an outing next Monday and will test it out for sure. I will also be testing it on a deer hopefully this week and will let you know how it performed." Thanks, Jeff Rheborg Director of Operations, VHA "Hey Don, Thought I'd give you a little report on the 90 grainers vs. deer. They work. The attached photo is evidence of their effectiveness. This is my son, AJ. This deer was taken at 200 yards. The cartridge was a .243 Winchester. The deer was quartering slightly toward us. The bullet entered the meaty part of the front shoulder and then proceed to blast through the rib cage. Upon inspection of the carcass, we discovered that the bullet opened up a 1-1/2" entrance hole with no exit wound accept for a couple fragmentation lacerations. The lungs were mangled. The chest cavity was full of blood. The deer dropped within 10 seconds of being hit. Tony Dorschner Director of Advertising, The VARMINT HUNTER Magazine® Vice President, The Varmint Hunters Association, Inc.
Here are a few of my targets shot with my 6mmBR, with my new 13.5" twist Bartlein barrel that was skillfully installed by Mark Penrod at Penrod Precision, shooting my 66gr FB bullets. Mark is a great riflesmith! Don Lahr Bulletsmith
On one of the many shooting websites I visit several shooters have used my bullets and were discussing them. I asked if they would mind me posting some of their comments here and they gave their permission. Well today I have been blown away by the repetitive accuracy of some new bullets. Chris had drawn my attention to these little beauties and he very kindly agreed to let me try some, and boy oh boy do they shoot!!! Recently I have become frustrated with flyers in my PPC and 6BR[12”T] and generally only adequate grouping using 75g Vmax in particular and in discussion with others they too have been getting unexplained flyers and mediocre performance with anything in the very frangible ballistic tips range ie V Max.
Anyway the added attraction for me was that the bullets were my favorite weight, given the 12 twist, they were a boatail and that they have rather an open meplat for hopefully good and instant expansion!!! We'll see about that in the near future!!!
Back to how they shoot, see for yourselves. I had to adjust my zero on both rifles and finally arrived at the groups on the left of the picture, job done both rifles set for extended play but that must wait for another day, can't wait.
All groups are three shots and not one flyer amongst them. I did shoot more than this but they were at odd 308 holes on the targetboard and not one, I repeat not one, strayed completely outside a 308 hole!!!!
These groups were shot without any load development Too!!!!! Good bullets in my opinion don't need much anyway.
Get in line guys!!!

They do what it says on the box, Dave.

Only Berger bullets come close to this. I have done the testing, and if you want tight, then this is it.

Dave Glad you like them and great pics I went testing with Nigal last Sunday with his new 6BR Lawton/Krieger stick and we too watched poorish groups produced with the 75gr V-Max load that Nigal had put together in comparison the 74gr Precision Ballistics bullets shot right out of the box, with NO load development!! Don't take my word for it, talk to the others that have shot these bullets. They just "shoot for fun". Chris
Yeah, seriously impressed with these bullets. Gonna have to try the flat bases next to see what they can do. I would say that in perfect conditions and good equipment, these products would stay in the .0's!!!! or very low .1's.

When I tested a box of 74BT's earlier this year, it wasn't so much the accuracy that I could achieve as the explosive effect they had on small quarry. Most effective load in my 6BR was Lapua brass, CCI br4 primer, 31.3gr Viht 133, seated around 30thou out in a Pacnor 1-8.
On one farm we can take rabbits and occasional crows at 200-350yds, when the bullet makes contact with the target it makes one of the loudest pops I've ever heard and starburst's the rabbit or crow.
We found bits of rabbit up to 6ft up the hedge.
On impact they remind me of the Speer 50gr TNT's I used to use in my .223, but having an even more explosive nature.
On fox they left gaping wounds and so I never tried them on deer, presuming they may only be suitable for head or neck shots, so never bothered to load for the .243AI, because at the end of a possibly long and arduous stalk you may only be able to take a body shot and I feel they may lack the ability to penetrate sufficiently for larger deer.
Superb match or vermin fodder though.

That's exactly what we want from a varmint bullet...pinpoint accuracy, and atom bomb detonation on impact....

I have just gotten back from the local 100m range and had been plinking with your bullets in my PPC. You know it's really odd to keep shooting down that same ragged hole again and again. Nothing ever wanders out. My follow through regime is getting quicker [too quick] being eager to see if it went in there again!!! Unreal. Anyway better go. All the best.
Dave
Don So far I have loaded 12 rounds using your 68's and I am seating them 10 thou off the lands. So far whilst checking every loaded round using a Stoney Point oal guage and digital calipers I have noticed less than 1 thous difference in length. This is amazing, now I can see why hand made bullets are used for matches. Well done to you Bughole, for such consistancy! Mark
Don,
We met last year at the "Toadwalk". I was fortunate enough to win a box of your bullets. They produced the best groups I've ever shot with my 6mm BR. I'd like to order 200 74 grain boat tail to shoot at this years event. Thanks!
