There are two ways in which you may explicitly and intentionally provide me with and consent to my collection of certain personal information:
E-mail Request for Information - I use links throughout my site to provide you with the opportunity to contact me via e-mail to ask questions, request information and materials, or provide comments and suggestions.
Orders - If you choose to order one of my products, I will request certain information from you. I will require your name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address, required to complete the sale. If you check out electronically, your financial information will go to my third party payment gateway provider, not me.
Statistical Information about Your Visit to Our Website: When visiting my website which was created using Microsoft Office Live Small Business, the use of 'cookies' may automatically collect statistics about your visit. This information does not and cannot identify you personally, but rather provides me information about your visit to my site.
I use these statistics to determine, for example, how many people visit my site, the user's IP address, first and last visited pages, from which domains my visitors come and which browsers people use, etc. I use this statistical data about your visit for aggregation purposes only to improve my site. This data is maintained internally and is used solely to help me improve my website visitors' experiences.
E-mail and Customer List: I always respond to all e-mail questions, requests for product information, and other inquiries that I receive. I also retain this correspondence to improve my products, and Web site, and to maintain my Customer List.
Processing Payments: If you complete your transaction with me via personal check or money order (made out to DON LAHR), I will not have any of your financial information. If you use my third party payment gateway (secured through SSL and certificate) for online transactions, you will be directed immediately to them to pay for your order and I will not have any of your financial information.
The third party gateway provider will disclose the information that you provide them to the appropriate financial institutions, (for example, credit authorization and fraud screening). For financial institutions and processors, the use of personally identifiable consumer information is governed by federal and state privacy laws. My third party payment gateway is PAYPAL.
PAYPAL protects your financial information with industry-leading security and fraud prevention systems. When you use PAYPAL, your financial information is not shared with the merchant. Once your payment is complete, you will be emailed a receipt for this transaction.
BBB Privacy Certification: The information practices of PAYPAL, Inc. have been reviewed and meet the standards of the Better Business Bureau's BBBOnline Privacy Program.
Disclosures Required by Law: If I am required by law to disclose certain information to local, state, federal, national or international government or law enforcement authorities, I will do so.
